100 Cheapside

Project team

Development and Construction Manager: Skanska
Architect: EPR Architects Ltd
Mechanical and Electrical: Hilson Moran
Structural Consultant: Watermans

The development at 100 Cheapside occupies a prominent corner site at the junction with King Street and involved the construction of a new building to provide approximately 86 600 square feet of office accommodation over nine upper storeys, with retail accommodation below at ground floor level. The building has been designed to incorporate striking Portland stone and glass facades, light open plan floor spaces, and a large roof terrace. The incorporation of sustainable features is a key aspect of the development. The use of technologies including rainwater harvesting and Photovoltaic cells contribute towards the buildings high levels of environmental performance under both the BREEAM and LEED assessment and certification schemes.

Our role

Following our initial pre-application consultation with the design team the works commenced on site in 2013. We assisted the project team by providing advice based on our extensive knowledge and experience in commercial new build developments; helping to deliver this innovative modern building on time. This involved considerable input and co-operation at the concept stage to ensure that the proposals met both the client's requirements and also ensured the provision of adequate life safety infrastructure to safeguard people in and about the building.

If you are considering taking office space at 100 Cheapside we are happy to assist you with any Building Regulation queries you may have and offer free pre-application advice.
