Description

A new development in the City of London, 5 Broadgate is one of the largest single office buildings in London's financial district at 66 890 square metre. The development also included improvements to the public realm and landscaping enhancements from Sun Street Passage to Primrose Street. This project won the IStructE Sustainability Award.

Our role

Since becoming involved with the project in 2010 we assisted the project team in all aspects of the building's design and construction in order to ensure that the completed structure is of the highest standard. We undertook regular site inspections to ensure that the high quality of workmanship is maintained and liaised closely with the design team to ensure that any issues which occurred were promptly resolved to everyone's satisfaction. Our flexible approach has allowed the design process to run smoothly and our ability to attend site at very short notice has allowed any items that arise on site to be dealt with before they become a significant problem.

5 Broadgate won the award for LABC Best Large Commercial Building in both the London regional and National competition.
