This 11 storey building comprises 176 rooms for student accommodation with a fully accessible room on each level above ground floor. The accessible rooms make use of several modern and innovative features fitted especially for the convenience of the occupants. The building has outstanding green credentials; boasting two green roofs, a living wall and energy supplied by the City of London’s combined heat and power network, Citigen.

Our role

We carried out the full building control functions for this project, with Ken Harrison leading a multidisciplinary District Surveyor's team. The success of this project was largely due to teamwork and communication between the City of London and the different project teams.

The project won both the Regional and National Building Excellence Awards for Best Social or Affordable Housing Development 2013.

We have recent experience in a number of student accommodation schemes. If you are contemplating constructing a similar project, we would be happy to assist you with any Building Regulation queries you may have and offer up to free pre-application advice. Please call 020 7332 1000 or email the District Surveyor's Office.
